Under $5 Under 5 Minutes

Today has been a mostly housework day, with a few mini-projects worked in so I feel like I’m doing something for me. The first mini-project was to re-cover a floor pillow I got from my sister on Tuesday. I had a quilt top that I bought from Goodwill nearly a month ago, and just waiting for the right use for it. Hello there, floor pillow. A few cuts and stitches, and…
0628121424 I love it! Hubby may not, but it’s my pillow so 😛

Okay, now on to the cheap crafty idea I had while picking up my son’s crayons (and the mess of papers and related goodies).

I’ve been wanting to display his art, but all of my lovely Pinspired ideas were also wearing lovely price tags. From the same sister as I got the pillows above, I acquired lots of other goodies. Clothes pins being one of the things I’m very excited about. Hmmm… clothespins are used to hold stuff. They could hold B’s art.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  1. Clothespins
  2. Double sided tape
  3. Your child’s art

{ You could also paint the clothespins, but I didn’t. Lazy mom, I know. }

Anyway, apply the double-sided tape to the clothes pin. Stick it to the wall. Hang your child’s art. Done.

And here we go…

About fromlondonwithlove2011

In no particular order, I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, a lab rat, a poet, a gardener, a craft goddess-in-training, a daydreamer, a painter, a doodler, a bookworm, a some day entrepreneur, a rock star, a super hero, a fixer, a coffee enthusiast, a music lover, a beach dweller, a treadmill dreader, and a would-be tree-hugger. I love beautiful things, and sometimes have a really different take on what's beautiful. I have a wonderful (albeit stressful) life that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. Some days I want to pull the covers over my head and stay indefinitely, but other days I want to jump up and find something amazing to see/ do/ make. I want to share the things I am passionate about with other passionate people. And so it begins...
